DSL Internet Connections
DSL is another form of internet connection. As opposed to cable internet, this connection comes from the phone line which then, like cable, is routed into an internet router which connects to the computer. While it works from the same outlet that a phone is connected to, DSL operates at a higher frequency than that used by voice communication. With DSL internet a person can connect to the internet from 256 kilobytes per second to 24 megabits per second.
DSL Internet also known as digital subscriber lines, consist of two main categories being ADSL and SDSL. ADSL is most common in North America. SDSL is more common in Europe.
